I think for me it would be the Coast, boring but quicker shorter and less likely to be dodgy, plus I may pop in and see an uncle in Dunedin on way in. Beuamont not far from Dunedin? uh

About 130-140km - This rally has a group ride out as a feature apparently and I believe this leaves late morning. Last fuel b4 Beaumont is at Lawrence.

There are probably plenty of 'adventure rides' you could take to keep it interesting GB...............

Bloody postal service, and now they put the cost up to 50 and $1 buck for letters.... such a shame you have to go through the trauma of going to find ya bike to bring it back again.

So you have to go all the way to the FACTORY to get it???

Sadly CB and I may not be there - second eldest of the boys is making a new life in Aussie - and we are taking him to Christchurch with all his gear for the flight out that weekend.

I don't recommend it G, unless you plan to do the Saturday ride. I took my time last year (Espresso @ Jaffa's, Lawrence) arriving about 1.00pm to watch bikes coming in all afternoon and @ that time there were few tents up.
BTW the pub is booked out of bed accomodation apparently on a yearly basis.
