Been misty drizzle most of the day, occasionally clearing to heavy overcast!! Much like Anzac day - so get some bloody WATERPROOFs (even a $10 warehouse set). Not really looking to be any different tomorrow I'm sorry to say but I'm still planning on going up for the day ride.
It should be a nicer day for the ride home on Sunday - and for blasting around the Kakanuis on my dirt bike - ye haaaa

If you look at the programme it leaves Beaumont at 11am, over to Tapanui ,leaves there at midday for the Clinton pub (lunch), leaves Clinton at 1:30 for Balclutha (Hotel Sth Otago), leaves Balclutha at 2:30 for Milton (probably the pub), leaves from Milton BP at 3:30 for the Lawrence pub and leaves the Lawrence pub at 4:30 to get back to the site
Sounds like a good potential idea, giving how well we travel, how wet etc, and if that ole BMW has any charactor issues...... The guzzi wont have any, as it already has one.

It won't have character issues - just pilot boredom issues!!!
Are you aiming for Balclutha or Beaumont by 11am?

I'm keen for the ride @ 11am but I want my tent up first, so hoping for a 9.15 start probably with Wendy & Mark.

Weather forecast looks like it should clear a bit later in the day, but prior to that it will only be minor misty shit, nothing too serious.
So NH are you coming up for the 11am ride huh, huh???? - I'll even help you get your tent up

We are leaving at 8am from out chch, so not sure what time we should expect to be near Dunners, stopping for a break a couple of times for a stretch.

Dont think we will be that close by 11am.

Just back from a wee session at the country club in Milton - not too bad outside at the moment, cool and overcast but didn't need the wipers on the way home.
