Funny thing about this "Fear". I'm not afraid of anything untill I get actually involved in the situation. But I wouldn't call myself brave either.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

There's only 1 thing I'm afraid of, dead or alive, in this world or any other.
    Pain.
I fear pain and anything that has potential to cause me pain.
Not scared of anything else whatsoever.
I'm not scared of dying, so long as it's painless.
I'm not afraid of bugs, unless they can sting or bite, causing pain.
I couldn't care less about heights, unless I could fall and hurt myself.
    You get the idea.

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Biggest fear is people finding out my fears...like stick insects... and using them against me.

Didnt think I had a fear of spiders .. well I dont have a fear of daddy long legs but Huntsmans ... shame but yes!

    Whats your fear?
Many many years ago when Adam was in nappies and my children were about the same age, I lived in Brisbane for a couple of years. We moved from Coorparoo to Camp Hill and I was relieved to move away from all the spiders, cockroaches, blue tongue lizards and bull ants, to a house kitted with full screens.

My relief was short lived. A very large blue tongue was bailed up by my full sized collie dog, and in retailiation bit the end of the dogs nose and wouldn't let go. It was in the bushes by the back door and after bashing it on the head several times, it then escaped to the garage under the house - I was very nervous about letting the children outside after that (and the car stayed outside for a while!!).

Sitting in the lounge one day at night on my own (the childrens father worked night sift), I espied a mouse in the kitchen and I was intrigued by the fact that although it just seemed to 'appear' it didn't move much, so I went to investigate... it wasn't a mouse but a rather large spider that upon sensing my proximity took off at lightening speed to ... the linen cupboard!!!

The insect life is really interesting - even with screens they make their way into the house. Ants; cockroaches; little lizards; hornets and spiders of every variety, and none of them really bothered me too much until..

One night I went to bed really late, I had been studying into the wee small hours and my youngest had had an interrupted nights sleep with an upset tummy, so by the time my head hit the pillow I was exhausted.

Unable to sleep and pondering on the meaning of life I realised that I was registering a vibration on my eardrum. It was a weird sensation - no noise, just a vibration - that got stronger and stronger. Unable to work it out, and REALLY pissed off by now - I leapt out of bed and flicked on the light at the same time as I turned to look at the bed.... and SCREAMED (and I assure, that even though I was young and naive - I was NOT a girly girl).

Right in the indent of the pillow where I had recently lain my head was the biggest and ugliest spider I had ever seen. Alive, it was bigger than my hand, covered with 3/4 fly spray it was bigger... In my overreaction, it took the entire can of flyspray, two hours of continually hunting it down (even loaded it was fast!!), more spray until it slowed down enough for me to trap in a preserving jar and even then it took a couple of days to die.

Man oh man it was pretty pissed though - the fangs were out, front legs up and looked incredibly ferocious. Once it died however, I kinda looked at it and wondered what all the fuss was about. I do kinda look at spiders sideways now I must admit - the memories of that night remain strong.

About 6 months later, I went into the laundry to do some washing (funnily enough!) and I reached into the cabinet / cupboard and as my hand went in - and I froze. In front of me curled up looking at me with an interested expression (I swear he had his head on one side) was a HUGE snake. I found out later that it was a carpet snake and harmless - but I am REALLY glad we don't have them roaming around our houses here!

Discovering a hanging body - blood/guts/screaming does'nt really effect me, but finding a body hanging would definately do bad things to my soul.......

Also turning up to a crash with family invovled....

That's what scares me the most.
