Want a project? Here's a GS550. Good points: motor is excellent, good oil pressure, good compressions, starts and runs well. Reg on hold, so no revinning issues,koni shocks, seat base is good, bike is complete apart from the RH side cover is missing and all electrics work, indicators, horn gear position readout, everything. Mileage reads 43000, no history on bike to confirm this, but nothing either to suggest that it is not correct either. This would make a great restoration project or cheap commuter/ratbike/post classic junior racer.
in my opinion all it would require for a WOF would be steering head bearings as they are rumbly.
There are a few bits with the bike also, most of a another motor etc.
The pipes, although they look like straight pipes are infact muffled and the bike is quite quiet, well within WOF standards.
