What i cant understand is, why the thing was up on the hoist in the first place ! Was only a tyre change !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

In the mean time others take their pride and joy to this place that obviously don't care very much about ensuring these tyre changes are done in a safe manner. Name and shame I say.

for them. I'm going to wait to see how it pans out before tarnishing there
    reputation ...

    It was an accident,
    shit does happen unfortunately,
    hopefully its a one off..
Just need to see how they can make it right for my friend....

i would expect to pay for the tyre but maybe not the fitting.
    Shit does happen you know!
What the fuck was his helmet doing on the bike or ground near the bike to get a wack in the first place???? i dont get it

They can do straight a way, cool, wander around store looking at the vast range of gear.
Looks over to see tyre done, lowering down bike on lift, when all of a sudden bike does a flip on to its side smashes a few fairings clipon etc....and drops friends helmet to ground cracking visor.(never been dropped before)
Worker had left one tiedown on which caused said flip..

Shop is fixing all damage etc.. which you would expect, but would you want/expect any compensation for doing the damage, and an xtra $40 worth of gas to get to work, + getting to work late due to Heavy traffic on Waitangi day?..

I know accidents happen, but myself I'd be spitting tacks, I wouldn't want to pay for tyre and would want helmet to get checked out at the minimum.

As above post #8, it was clipped thru rear grab rail to keep it outa the way
and so he didn't have to carry it around.

On top of that I would be asking for reasonable costs, and hoping to get them.
Yea people expect alot this and that, however just remember, it's always better to come to a mutual agreement before firing your guns blazing.

Even though how much I feel for the bike and that the business should take up on all the associated costs however you go to do in a way so you don't come off as a dickhead.

Because I've seen countless situations like these where it just dragged on and on got nowhere.

Also in post #8,I told him to ask what comp they where offering first.
Not to go in demanding for it.

    Damn....serious bugger!
If it happened at work I'd be offering full and total repair of all damage to the bike, front tyre at cost price and fitted for free and yes, replacement helmet/visor.
Re compensation...I'd prolly offer the next set of tyres at cost price too.
Yes as you've quite rightly pointed out shit does happen but it's how it's dealt with that makes or breaks the ongoing 'relationship'.
I think we've all got a good idea of which shop it is and it would surprise me if they didn't come to the party.
