This stuff is the shiz: http://www.blue-job.com/

If your happy to wait a few days for it to turn up in the mail, requires a bit of elbow grease but seemingly gets anything off chrome without any damage to the finish.

I use a water blaster on fan spray, spray my pipes to get easy to get off stuff then use warm water with armorall wax and shine and scrub with a sponge pad with a soft scourer on 1 side, then spray off that, dry, then use autosol, although although autosol burns on exhaust headers

Fine grade steel wool works well too, particularly when combined with kerosene and Elbow Grease(TM).

    According to this, yes: http://www.instructables.com/id/Chro...busters-Style/

I'd imagine any 'Cola' product would work, though I'd guess that the diet stuff is nastier (read more effective) as it has a lot more unpronouncable chemicals in it.
