    RVF HRC needles and jetting

    Hey guys,

I'm after someone to hopefully point me in the right direction to hp for my RVF400

I have been told by my mechanic to get HRC needles and I am steering towards the richer needle as bike running a tad lean in order to try and remove 4500rpm to 7200rpm flat spot, the HRC needles come in sizes A and C, B is discontinued, I also believe these are a good step towards more HP throughout the rev range.

I have had bike dynoed and is putting out 60.5hp with aftermarket pipes and jetting (not sure what jetting changed, last owner had this done at shop), not to bad but was beaten by a cbr 400 rr in a drag like situation at Ruapuna Nat meeting.

I have just changed to a foam filter to hopefully get more flow and some more HP and will hopefully dyno this week or next to see but wont really benefit until jetting and needles changed I wouldn't think.

If anyone has some advice or has come across a helpful site please feel free to comment.

    Thanks
    JB

    +1 for grey bike
When I had my RVF any questions possible this was the place to go.
And with running a foam filter from what Ive heard the standard honda filter is the way to go if your still running the standard airbox.
But plenty of very smart people on grey bike to point you in the right direction
