    Track day on a Versys?

I know people turn-up on all sorts to track days, but am contemplating giving one a go on my Versys - not exactly a track bike I know!

As it would be my first one I'd be in the (very) slow group at a guess, although would it be better just to forget about it until I get another sportsbike??

Only other thing would be leathers?
Better to keep quiet and have people think you're stupid than open your mouth and prove it!

I was bit worried about taking the Bandit to the track given it's 10 years old and was never a really sporting bike to start with
Seeing a bunch of dudes on hardcore sportsbikes and dedicated track machines made me more nervous.

Shouldn't have worried - I had an awesome time and will be booking another track day soon.

It's just another piece of tarmac to ride on and everyones going in the same direction, a whole lot less scary than road riding!

    Do it!

    Track day...

    Hi Matt,

you should have done a track day on your EX bike ;-). Now it's mine, so it's to late :-). She loves the race track .
As the guys posted before. There are all kind of bikes on the track, so just go 4 it. If you start in the slow group you will be fine. And if you want you can always try your luck after some rounds in the faster groups...

    Cheers

    Christoph
