Don't think it's much worse than last year, it's just that it wasn't good then, and now it's got more bald patches.

aww you a honey but we ok for slicks actually! Got a good set with quite a bit of rubber on them - used them at the track day. So thanks for your kind offer but we don't need to take you up on it

Well today the lovely Flame led me over the Cliffhanger hill climb road

I am now REALLY REALLY looking forward to next weekend and am not just feeling REALLY REALLY nervous

The road is just that...a road

I was expecting it to be this narly tight thing to rival the Rimutakas and Paekok hills - I am almost disappointed...but not really!!!!

I do look forward to doing it again with both sides of the road at my disposal.

Regards all the concerns about surface...only two corners that were horrid. The two left handers leading up Cliffhanger corner AND I reckon using the right hand lane round there will take most of the scare factor out of them. Also apparently it isn't as yucky as it was last year

Seems to have been swept too - isn't bad at all...I was definitely expecting a LOT worse.

SO peeps - time for you all to grow some balls and enter your arses! I hear that so far there are only 16 pre-paid entries....with those numbers should be heaps of runs up the hill

So yes - I have grown some balls and I look forward to turning them into great big hairy cojones!!!

The road will be no worse than Paeroa or Wangas.

No manhole covers or (quite so many) white lines.

The road presents half the challenge, hence half the fun. Thats what I tell myself anyway.
