Some tracks will allow bikes that don't fit the rules to run with F4 and F5 classes. It doesn't mean they are legal or even get points and placings. When you get to serious (lol - buckets, serious) events you WILL have 'issues' as the rules are expected to be followed.
Must admit the pitbike ruling is vague, they run at Mt Welly without issue. Thumpstar, Honyo (we had one), CMG.
Even the most hardcore pitbike riders see the light in the end. The Lancaster brothers being one of the best examples, Both riding twins now
Did anyone see a pitbike at the Taupo Spectacular..... Nope !!!
i only ever plan on racing at mt wellington becasue i have no time to go out of auckland remembering i ride dirt bikes so i have to do both....
i do understand that pit bikes arnt realy proper bucket bikes but im realy jsut into mucking around at the track, than geting into serious racing......

Among a few friends and over a few beers an idea came to light that could cover it. The idea was for a "box" class. Basically the idea was to come up with a box of certain dimensions. If the bike fitted inside then you could race it. One rule for the class only - it had to fit inside the box.
Hmmm, you mean if you can fit a 400cc engine into a frame and fit it all into the box it's legal?
HAHA!that would be interesting...
