And that is what everyone is trying to do, help, from the information we can see the polini does not fit into the rules for F4 or F5, and everyone would hate to see ANYONE spend money on a bike that at the end of the day is not eligable to run

I have got no idea what the hell a Dyang Honyo pit bike is so I cant really coment

But the fact the Polini is a 110cc (presumably 4 stroke??) makes the claim of 24hp all the funnier
i said i was wrong about the horse power.....then how come thumpster, pitserpro's ect race the 2 hour??

WTF... So you're saying you could afford to buy an expensive motard pit bike but couldn't spare up to $500 for a bucket?

We know mister Honda ran out of money before he got to 25hp but we accept you could have deeper pockets.

no im trying to say i jsut brought a 2008 rm85 2 weeks ago...thats why ive got no money to buy a bucket bike....the only reason i can get a polini motard is that arnie {polini nz} will trade my polini pocket bike for a polini motard with no cash involved......

Some tracks will allow bikes that don't fit the rules to run with F4 and F5 classes. It doesn't mean they are legal or even get points and placings. When you get to serious (lol - buckets, serious) events you WILL have 'issues' as the rules are expected to be followed.

    Interestingly

Must admit the pitbike ruling is vague, they run at Mt Welly without issue. Thumpstar, Honyo (we had one), CMG.

Even the most hardcore pitbike riders see the light in the end. The Lancaster brothers being one of the best examples, Both riding twins now

Did anyone see a pitbike at the Taupo Spectacular..... Nope !!!

I think somthing could be made of the concept, but it would have to be so reworked that it would no longer me anything like it started as.
IF you could get decent tyres somthing based on 14inch ish wheels would be quite interesting, esp on the tighter tracks.

Among a few friends and over a few beers an idea came to light that could cover it. The idea was for a "box" class. Basically the idea was to come up with a box of certain dimensions. If the bike fitted inside then you could race it. One rule for the class only - it had to fit inside the box.

Hmmm, you mean if you can fit a 400cc engine into a frame and fit it all into the box it's legal?
