Remember, if you cover your plates with clingfilm before you put food on it, you never ever have to was said plates again! The trick is not to cut through it! No need for tea towels then innit?

Tea towels? The mind boggles when you think of being a teatoweller and dishing up cups o'char and being a mukkah about it! It ain't

And I for one can’t think of a more appropriate way to commemorate woman's suffrage than with a tea towel - except perhaps a vacuum cleaner.

not required. If you're barefoot and pregnant you can't run far anyways.

What I want to find is the best tea towel for the tea towel wars. What's best? The cotton type ones or the toweling type? Wet the edge or keep it dry? Twirling action or just go straight for the kill? I prefer the cotton with wet end and twirling then quick flick, gets that "whaaaaack" noise which adds to the overall effect and usually leaves a good red whelt!!

I'd say a large-ish well laundered linen tea towel, damp but not wet.

Ive given it some thought, yes

once when we were kids we were whipping our towels in the changing sheds at the Lido Pool (as kids do) and my brother got our cousin right on the end of his penis with a towel flick..... "Hey Les" "What" as Les turns round, then CRACK. It was supposed to be just in front of him but my bro managed to get him right where it would hurt. Poor old Les just crumpled on a heap on the floor, clutching his privates. After about an hour (and some ice .....) he went looking for my little bro. Kept looking for him for weeks, too. he was NOT HAPPY.

I'm kind of ashamed to say that I found the whole episode hilarious (and still do).... and recount it whenever the fandamly gets together (luckily, not often)

Children dry my dishes. I don't know what they use and don't care how they do it. As long as it is done quickly, quietly and without asking or discipline is served in the form of a Barry Manilow CD.
