    Yuasa Battery YTZ14-S: How much!

Fark!! My CB1300 needs a new battery after two years and 36000k.

"That'll be $510" said Selwyn embarrassingly, at The Battery Shop, Lower Hutt!

Finally got it down to the late three-hundred bucks, but blimey at that price my pacemaker needs a new battery too!

Just find something else to fit the hole... nothing magical about that model (as you've discovered when it crapped out early!)

I take it that $500 job was one made in japan, the ones made in thailand from same name are around $180

BTW, make sure you get a 1 year warranty on the thing. Heaps, especially the cheaper ones, crap out really quickly.

A CNB brand (which I haven't had any problems with so far) YTZ14S retails fors $145.

Even if it only lasts half as long it's still got to be a better option than a Japanese Yuasa.

In Sept 08 I needed a Yuasa YTZ14S, made quite a few phone calls etc, and basically got told that there are non in stock in NZ or Australia. So I got one within a few days from USA for $170USD. Exchange rate was better then than it is now. It works well, my busa would hardly turn over with the stock battery after I fitted 13:1 pistons.
