And that is the honest truth your honour..
Well done! soon you will know how great it feels when someone asks if you have a lighter and you can finally say "no sorry I DON'T SMOKE"! And you'll be surprised how stress effects you LESS when you are smoke free (nicotine craving + stress = homicide)
I LOVED my fags, but was crazy thing to keep doing, I promised myself when I quit that I could start again if I became terminally ill or got a life sentance (wasn't exactly rational first few days) But now I'm so over them I don't think anything would make me start again.
Read the Allen Carr book. He sounds like a knob but it really does work.
In space, no one can smell your fart.

If you're always looking for help, or an easier way out, you're never going to manage it, and you'll always be finding a convenient reason for having another one:
"I was feeling really bad".
"I was pissed".
"It was too hard with my flatmates all smoking".
"Someone offered me one, and I forgot I was giving up."
In the final analysis, it boils down to making a decision and sticking to it. Everything else is just procrastination, self-indulgence and weakness of character.
Man up, decide to stop, and do it.
Smoke or don't.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()

Stopped for about 2 months, got made redundent and started again. As vifferman said "weakness of character". I take my hat off to Nasty, obviously has more self control than I do.
I am going to have another go but I'm not ready for it right now. (Waits for the bashings)![]()

Smoking is not good for you.
Smoking is becoming socially unacceptable. (I actually spelled that smacking, go figure that).
Smoking is expensive.
Smoking provides the government with millions of tax dollars.
We are encouraged to give up the filty habit, by buying hugely expensive patches, gum, pills etc. If it truely is such a huge health concern the government would make these supports free to smokers, but think of the money they will lose.
Smoking is a choice and an addiction. You choose to smoke and it keeps you smoking. I need to give the baccy away and have had a couple of aborted attempts, apparently I was not actually ready to give up. I am close to ready now.
No amount of "help" is going to stop me smoking, I am the only one who can.
You forgot the stink.
All smokers stink,if i had the phone number of every bird i had been out with i would ring and apologize.
Not one smoked now that i think about it.
Nothing changes,it is an addiction,nothing more,nothing less.
If you do not want to beat it,you won't.
Think about it,suck smoke in,blow it out..WTF.
6+ years smoke free now and smell like roses.![]()
