The other thing to look at is there something new to stress her out--new cat.dog in the hood, change in your family, house guests.....
If it is stress a product called Feliway will help take the edge off- It is Synthesized natural pheromones & comes in a plug in diffuser but I empathize take to a vet first to rule out medical problem causing the change in behaviour & sometimes hormones are needed with behavioral issues.

This is not a new behaviour. She has been doing it for a while now. But everytime we get her to stop in one place, she just moves on to somewhere else, equally annoying.
