Neighbour's house alarm - what would you do?

god, i hate house alarms. before we moved, the neighrbour kids had a quadbike or something. dunno how the hell they did it, but they used to take the alarm off the house, put it on the quad bike and ride around the property and street with the damn alarm screaming. we called the cops every single time ["concerned neighbours"] but i dont think they ever gave a rats about it being mis used.

but yeh... id ring it in to the cops if i knew no one was home.

brother got his house broken into last week. gets home and stuff like digital camera [and card] gone, playstation gone, his kids dvds gone, and the kids books have been sorted through. we know who did it [his ex would have sent either one or both of her kids in to do it. shes taken the camera before and lied about it.] but the cops really dont care. they didnt bother coming to look for fingerprints for 2 days.
