    Street Race in Dunedin

Hey does anyone out there know of the dates (if) for the motorcycle street race "King of the Quay" is to be held?

    Ride of fly????

I placed this in a racing thread but no exposure so kinda repost.

No worries. I reckon it will be a great streetrace. Hopefully the big names will get down there for it so it's on a par with Wanganui and Paeroa.

I hope that up and coming new racer James Mair is there... would love to see him in action... I hear his partner is pretty friendly too, so hopefully they grace Dunedin with their presence.

    Nah his girlfriend's a bitch!

Jimmy did get all excited when he first heard that there were resurrecting the street racing in Dunners.

North Islanders should book their time off now. Will be an awesome time of year to do a road trip to the South Island and get to watch street racing into the bargain.

'King of the Quay' Does that mean it'd be in the industrial area down by the harbour basin? Sigh - that'd be soooo good to watch. Shame I'm in Westie land...

*warning* gratuitous misty eyed Dunners remembrance ahead...

Reminds me of younger days with road-cycling criteriums and duathlons on circuits down thereabouts...

"Located in the city's wharf area, which features smooth road surfaces, and plenty of run-off areas."

Hmmmm the dunedin festival road race reserected.... About time. The old track (portsmouth drive) was much more fun, faster and safer but too much traffic there now. The new venue was a little risky last time i rode it but it was a hell of a lot of fun.

OMG I don't think I could handle being in the same room as those two. Who knows what they'd do to me - or you for that matter Joni!
