    Finally, a new bike

Its been a long 8 plus months since i've owned a bike, the last one, 07 R1, will be hard to top (not sure if i'll let jrandom ride this one ).
Picking it up at 4:50pm today, my first brand new bike!
Will put some photos up when i get it home, after i've been for a ride.

Y'know, I hate "I'm being all mysterious about my new bike" threads.

I helped choose this one, though. So that's all right.

And he'd fuckin well better let me 'ave a go on it!

I'm still going to spill a bean or two here, mind you - it's not Japanese or European.

    It's an RC8. It couldn't possibly be a Triumph.

    You're warmer than Finn.

Suffice to say kiwifruit hasn't owned anything quite like this before.

He's certainly spent less than this on a bike before, though.

He did take some convincing, but purchasing a new machine from an American marque with decades of history and more racing heritage than he knew about to start with (even if its primary output over the years has been tourers) turned out to be easier than he expected.

I consider my work well done.

I'm sure he's lost count of the number of times that 62mph limiter has saved his arse.

    Speed kills, mmkay?
