Bikes, Beer, BBQ?
Hi all, I'm one of the super-moderators over at the Horizons Unlimited travellers website http://www.horizonsunlimited.com, and we have a gathering planned for this Saturday afternoon, 21st Feb, from 1pm. That's a day of long distance motorcycle travellers meeting, chatting, drinking good beer and eating spit roasted lamb. This year we will have Peter and Kay Forwood who have just completed visiting every country in the world on their Harley (all 193 countries!) over 12 1/2 years and 520,000 km. Also Jo Morgan will be there and speaking too. Now the thing is, we have had a few people pull out at the last minute so if you fancy a good feed, a pint or three of The Brew Moon's Amberley Pale Ale, and a chance to mix and chat with travellers from all over the world, send me a PM. There will be room for about 6 people, and I guess it's better if you are local Christchurch or close. It is $15 for the meal and $10 covers the beers. Dinner is from 6pm with Peter and Kay doing an informal presentation from about 8pm.
PM me or email (nigelmarx@yahoo.co.nz), and I will let you know if there is room at the table for you. It would be a shame for the food and drink to go to waste eh?!?
Cheers,
Nigel
