Yep Motu, I was very dissappointed about the amount of gravel roads left.... Almost everything is sealed now.... Gordons Road is sealed, and there is an airfield now....

The sad thing is i agree with you 100%, from who ive talked to (people that have lived on Waiheke all their lives) it sounded like an awesome place to live... But in 10 years time i reckon you will only be able to live there if you are a millionare The price of houses and land is fucking ludicrious....

But still.... its a hell of alot better than Auckland... Came back to Auckland yesterday... got in a traffic jam for an hour!!! AND THE FUCKING USELESS DRIVERS!!!!

hhhhmmm I really need a bike to calm me down.........

It's fun to comapre the other modes of transport available too though...

In Auckland you don;t have a choice but to sit in traffic.... trains?!? Buses ?!? both exist and think we have 3 of the first and about 20 of the second... not very good, and bog all incentive to actually get out of the cars...

It creates a wonderful opportunity to invest in carparks however. $30 to buy, rent out at whatever... and if you felt generous and wanted to do it up... a quick spray with dregreaser and hose the bastard off!

No mangy tenants putting holes in the wall... aaaa - but I digress.

Traffic in Auckland is not so bad.

The habits of kiwis though (rubbish out of cars and just chucking it around) is appalling. I'd love to get some ciggy butts and give them back to their owners.. a fire hjazard, spreading disease and littering all in one go./.

    ...rant rant rant...

A mate is starting up an LTSA warrant/reg place type thing there.
    He hates the humidity though.
