Themed parties - costume selection?

I once got a whole lot of old keys, painted them white on one side and black on the other, strung them all over myself and went as a piano.

Yeah, costumes that you have to explain are kinda not really fun eh?

I wore a buzzy bee costume to a 'B' party once. It even had the full-on paddle/wing arrangement on the back - I had to turn sideways to go through doorways
