Can Crazy Steve and the Avanti Electra beat jrandom and the Trek?

I'm not going to let Crazy Steve get away with it this time.

He proposed a race and didn't get back to me, now it's time to follow through and hold him to it.

Mechanics Bay to St Heliers and back, me on my Trek 1500, him on an Avanti electric bike (one of the ones that he's trying to sell). That's about 16km dead flat. Not exactly an endurance race; just a short sharp test of speed and power.

Of course, there is the question of whether he'll pussy out again and either simply not reply to my PMs, or not turn up on the day.

So I figure a poll is in order. Plenty of you know us both, so you should be able to make educated guesses.

Fire away!

And hopefully the ensuing publicity will shame our screwdriver-bearing friend and his electric wheels into representin' at a waterfront showdown.

What about if I bomb you with paint. I can make it up by buying a fridge haha. I'm not doing anything tomorrow. Wear some clothes you don't want to wear twice and maybe some duct tape over the parts of your bike you don't want it red.

Well I wasn't going to really turn up but no one insults my masculinity and gets away from it...

Muwahahahahah... I'll make sure the substance is removable with a wash though, maybe just eggs or something? That cool?
