    Which fuel pump?

Just been told mine is kaput so looking for a replacement.

    Any suggestions?

Got told at 4:50pm today so had little time to ring around before everyone closed for the day. Some chap mentioned something about a Mitsubishi pump being compatible???

Anyway, im looking for the most cost effective remedy, any suggestions gladly received.

    Cheers in advance

lol I guess anything you have owned would get an absolute thrashing so you might come to expect that

In all seriousness from what I gather they are very well made & mine has never let me down. I ran her out of fuel recently which no doubt put some undue pressure of the pump on top of sucking some crap into the carbs

Been fun pulling it apart though, never cleaned out carbies before so enjoyed every minute of it.......that was until the last screw head splayed (if thats the right word for it) & wouldn't budge

Yeah didn't have one handy but it wouldn't have mattered as it seemed to take the fuel pump with it, probably due to running dry, must have been ready to crap out :slap:

Apparently not. Just paid for the replacement pump now, only $156 incl overnight courier so not too bad, considering I was being quoted $350 new

NB to self: Must not run out of fuel again
