    Carb and idling issues!

i own a gsf250suzuki bandit and it dosent idle properly, when i start it in the morning it dosent start till i rev it and even then i have to keep revving it!! then when i move its not smooth, i have to keep reving for it to move properly, the choke is open, thought it dosent control anymore, but could it be that the carb is bad?

    Try adjusting the throttle cable.

Take the tank off and have a look at where the chock cable meets the carbs. I'm certain your problem is that the cable has slipped at this point. This means that it's too loose to actually operate. Adjust the cable at this point and all will be well again.

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Check out the idle adjust as well after it's warmed up.

Is it also running erratically and back firing when you close down the revs? If so will be an airleak somewhere in the carb set up.
