Mayor slated for “Tempted to budge biker with my car” comment

At the very time that the US authorities are looking at their rising accident rates, a storm has brewed up over a South Carolina’s comments that he was tempted to knock a biker over.

When Mayor Mark McBride complained about sexually explicit merchandise being worn and sold during Myrtle Beach's Fall and Spring Motorcycle Rallies, he said that he was “Tempted to kind of nudge the guy on the bike with my car."

Motorcyclists rights organisation ABATE has attacked McBride, saying "His comments are reckless and unbecoming of a man in his position."

"McBride has admitted that he is tempted to endanger the life of a motorcyclist simply because the Mayor does not approve of the t-shirt a biker is wearing” said Fred Ruddock, ABATE of South Carolina coordinator.

ABATE also call for all motorcyclists to register to vote and ‘become active in the political process’ – which is another way of saying vote and get this person out of office.
