My question: When you getting your own bike?... you should consider it, you will never look back!

    Have fun...

    The Last Bastion... INVADED!

Gods, I can't escape ANYWHERE, now!

    Welcome aboard, hon.

    re Stray's Bike:
As Juliet's dream bike is an Indian (Spirit or Scout) it might be a while yet (have to get her sumfin like a GN250 and get her through her licences, first)

Of course, I have to get my wheels sorted out, too...

And then the cubs will want to progress from their "bikes"...

Anyone know of any IT jobs that pay more than 46K a year? I could do with one!

    my own bike???? i wish

when am i gettin my own bike depends on when wolf gets and gives me the money to go buy my dream bike(s) which i think will be a while away yet sadly :'( but yes i do want my own bike before wolfs bike broke down i would sit on that and ride it around the lawn and i did have my own little trail bike which i used to learn how to change gears on as didnt want to try to get outta first on wolfs bike it was after all a 400 cc so was more powerfull than my little 80cc snail bike er i mean trail bike it wasnt so much the cc rating it was more the fact that i get into second on wolfs bike and end up planting bike and me in the ditch not a good move and i dearsay wolf would not b happy that i pranged his baby and his only transport to and from work he says he would b more worried about me having a great big 400 sitting on top of me but we both know his bike = his baby

I'd guess that a second computer will come B4 another bike so that both of you can send messages to each other here on KB

Welcome to the nuthouse Stray. Good luck getting your biking needs sorted. I can recommend a GN to get started on ($3'000 for a new one)

I agree on the GN - not too heavy or too powerful but not a "weakling" either, decent road presence (wider tyres and bigger wheels than a lot of the smaller bikes so it should brake and handle better) and no nasty endorsements when you take your tests on it (like "automatic only" etc - never had that when I took my practical: borrowed the neighbour's automatic fifty for my restricted, passed, and went out on my RX125. Might explain why I binned soon after, tho')

Want to get one new so we know that the frame isn't twisted or the forks aren't slightly off "thanks" to a previous owner's bin. Much easier to learn how to ride when you're not simultaneously compensating for a tendency to drift out at the arse or having to fight the steering in a corner.

Hello and welcome Juliet, It would seem computer techs need to have bikes from reading this forum, I'm a mother of 6, computer tech and got my own bike too, my hubby is a mechanic, and has his own bike also, having 3 kids still at home we hardly ever get to ride them, but the great news is, eventually kids leave home, then you don't need so many computers in the house and the garage has more room bikes seeing as the kids crap isn't in there, all good!
