    Glenorchy Rally

Glenorchy is 50km south of Quenstown, and a wicked 50k at that. So whos planning on doing it?

7-9th January which is kinda a week sooner than usual, as new years day is on saturday.
A small group of us make our way to Queenstown on Friday and have a decent feed and a few beers that nite so its just a small ride in on Sat after a cooked breaky. Home againg on Sun either via central or the west coast depending on weather
Heres a shot of the early arivals looking down on the Dart river.

It is a magic site and a magic ride!!!
P.M. me and I'll meet you en route as long as you go via Mossburn and the Devils Staircase, Guzzi nz is meeting me somewhere on the way, the more the merrier eh?

    Glenorcy Rally Cancelled

Just read in todays Southland Times that the GY rally isnt on in Jan 05, Bugger we always went there so how about somewhere else having a go at running a rally at central otago. The luggate domain would be a good venue, weather is always good there. Pub close by, central location for west coasters and the red and black riders. What do you reackon guys. Cheers Toddy

Then can you remember seeing the bikes in the pic bellow as I've not missed one yet either, we would be down to the right as ya go through the gate....... going to miss the 'magic site and a magic ride'

The time that KBer LeMans came down his Mk4 fell on to his sis's Mk3 which fell onto my 1100i sport no damage bloody funny but we all stood there in silence, every one waiting for me to loose the plot as I'd only had the bike for a few months.

Just got a hold of the Southland Times and it's TRUE!!! no Glenorchy Rally! and after I jacked-up leave to get to it too!
I screwed up date-wise, thought the 05 was the day of the month instead of thinking 2005 - doh!

Toddy, any chance YOU could jack-up a piece of the domain for KBers and mates to use on that weekend? - maybe even on a 'stand-by' basis in case the Glenorchy guys find a new venue at short notice.
Anybody else who reckons they can get a patch of land for us all to use and have our own 'mini-rally' is welcome to do so - you got my backing (with the proviso the Glenorchy guys don't come up trumps with a new location for their rally).

Ahhh. The Glenorchy road. 44km of pure motorcycle heaven... And 44km of heaven back again. One of the best rides in New Zealand.

I'll make inquiries with the motor camps at Bannockburn (near Cromwell), Luggate, Hawea etc and see if they are capable of handling 20+ bikers, I'll post what response I get, anybody else that knows a friendly farmer from say Fairlie to Cromwell is welcome to give it a go to find a suitable site for a collection of bikers to get together that weekend.

Mate what do you mean sisters MKIII?
I wasn't aware that that she owned it, as Sal and I was paying the bills for it.

But I was very sorry for you, but I was pissed as well because 2 of our bikes
went tits up and she drop it before that riding around the camp site

I'm beginning to think that you have more pic's of my bikes than I do.
