This can be a problem. I know a guy who used to work in an office block over the road from a bike shop and he used to spend all day watching bikes come and go. Eventually had to turn his desk around to face away from the window so he could get some work done!

The good thing is, when my bike got broken I took it to that bike shop for repairs. Every day they would wheel it out of the workshop and leave it sitting on the road outside, rain or shine. My friend kept an eye on it and let me know what was happening.
There is no such thing as bad weather; only inappropriate clothing!

Past real job was in puters so office took up most view (first pic) with just enough window to see bit of the domain. Now being fulltime housewife, view is fantastic, even better now in Nelson. LOVE my job - get paid well too!

I changed office's today. Actually, spent a couple of days in this office, its a place called Corridale. The farmers among us will know the name as the breed of Corridale sheep were bred here. Now a Dairy farm, and irrigation is in demand. Hence the need for these beastys. I help assemble them. Just a big mecanno set...

For those that are geographically embarrased as to the location, it is about 30 km's inland from Oamaru. The KB encounter went past here on the return part of the day ride from Moraki.

    Well spotted!

Shame I couldn't get the camera out in time to capture the view out the study window on Tuesday. Heard a roar and looked out to see what on earth was coming up the road but it was actually a Hercules flying REALLY low - it loomed up over the pine trees across the road and appeared to be aiming right for our house! Managed to get two shots as it went away out to the south, but the sight of its props and nose just clearing the trees about 100m from the window was incredible.

Last time they did low-level manoeuvres in our area they came back every 15 minutes or so and I got heaps of photos, but this appeared to be a one-off.

Electric or diesel powered hydraulic,To hydraulic wheels, each span has a cable actioned brake to the hydraulic wheels that come on when the spans get out of line. Simple... but things can... DO go wrong...

I've already oiled up my chainsaw ready for some native carnage. But don't worry about all the nesting birdies, they be humanely euthanised first.
I hate to break it to you but chainsaws are self oiling, so I guess the trees are in less danger than you are.

My one isn't, you have to prime it first. It's a oldie but a goody.
