    Lost my Paeroa virginity!

I have to say that this event was one of the best events ive attended, it had a great atmosphere with all the crowd and the track was fun! There were a bunch of people that all helped out in the pits and we gave out so many LG posters, drinks sunshades etc there was LG everywhere you looked!

Speed-tech put a new clutch in there ZX10R this week and the bike felt a bit better but there maybe a few issues a tad deeper that will have to be sorted for next season.

I managed to get a couple of novice sighting laps and a couple more laps for practice then it was straight into race 1 due to the rain delayed start to the event.

    Race 1,

I was pre seeded on the 2nd row so i managed a decent start, i followed hayden over the hill and he had a big moment and got right out of the seat nearly highsiding and i nearly followed as i layed on the power over the hill. Hayden got by Peter Tanner and i tucked in behind him. The pace was so much hotter then id been going in practice and i was still getting to know the track so i couldnt quite keep up. I set into a decent pace, the bike was dropping out of gear from time to time and this allowed Clee to rocket by about lap 5. I finished the race 6th happy with my progress

Race 2 (King Of The Streets)

With my time from the first race i qualifyed 7th, i got a bit held up on the start blocked in behind Lance Lowe. I managed to get by him in the first turn but it had left the door open for Morgan to get through. I followed morgan for a lap but outpowered him down the straight to slot into 7th behind Tanner. After a few close calls with tanner trying to pass cole tanner went a bit wide on turn 1 and allowed me underneath him. I set off after cole but couldnt make up enough time to get into a passing position so with the help of Haydens misfortune i ended up 5th

    Race 3

I had CKT top up my fork level for this race which made a big difference to the front end (cheers robert) Another terrible start because of gearbox issues and i found myself in 9th around the first corner, i managed to get on the inside of Craig Frethey into turn 2 but he made a dive back on me into turn 3. Luckily i managed to shut the door but i was waiting for the hit... phew! I followed Lance Lowe for a lap or two but from what id heard i wanted to pass him once and once only, i got a better run down the front straight as he wheelied nearly the whole straight lol nice! and got him into turn 1. I could then see peter a few second up the road and id also found a solution to overcome my gearbox problems and that was to just do full throttle mx style shifting! I got right onto peters back wheel and made a move into turn 1, it was a bit of a risky move cause there was no way i would have been able to stop if he had shut the door but luckily he saw me and gave me some room, i held it to the line and again with Haydens mishap i got 4th place in the race and 5th place overall

Thanks again to everyone that showed up, Speed-Tech for supplying the bike, LG for being behind us in everything we could ever ask for and all the crew from LG and Punch that came for a watch.

Also a big thanks again to the Daltons again for there f&%ken brilliant spannering and er tyre changing haha

Also just a side note, Eddy (gixser) has been working his arse off all week to sort out all the promotions and TV crew for our team and he has done an awesome job and still manages to put in some decent rides specially considering its his first season as well! Ill keep ya posted but there should be some footage of a bit of behind the scenes paeroa etc showing up on alt tv and published in the truth real soon!

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

It really did look very unloved. Specially as it was next to the R1 that the whole crowd wanted to look at. Gixxer 4 ever
