I can remember the undebored bit, but not the style there was something about them on KB, it might have been from F5Dave
There were the two Mikuni style versions of the RGV250 carb. I think the early was TMSS and the later was more a crescent slide.
There might be aftermarket rebuild kits for the RGV but as they weren't sold in the USA it might be a long shot.

Yes it was, I'd like to be more helpful, but I'm too lazy and it won't help the problem. But you will find the odd rgv carb on a streetstock.

Don't worry I found this so it is the earlier TMSS

I made some hex ally to replicate the Keihin powerjet recess & robbed a solenoid (which I must replace so I can sell the KX carb, but only $78 from US). Then got a toolmaker to make a press in brass seat like the original.

1st Pic bit hard to see & piece not cleaned up so looks rough. exit to tube is at 9 O'clock above brass (modelled off PWK dimensions) if you squint.

Then welded a small bracket to it & screwed & glued it to the carb. Feeds from original bowl jet. 2nd & 3rd pics show slither to be dremeled, but its like 5mm wide & came up nicely. This is for my Bucket so only one carb. Yet to put it back on but initial tests were positive but didn't get to properly test the solenoid as made an error of assumption with the Ignitech & have since fitted a TPS remotely.

So while Axzle is an idiot, it is possible to bore the carbs. In fact the 32 & 34 have the same body. the 32 is offset bored so its thicker at the top than the bottom. 34 will be equal & my 35 is thinner at the top. (crazy RGV150 uses a 26mm(ish) in same body & about 8mm extra material at the top).

The VJ22 RGV (first banana arm) came out with either a 34mm flat slide (intake side face is flat, with just enough round behind to take the spring) or the restricted JDM version with a 32mm version of the 34mm carb. Pretty sure the VJ21 (first RGV version) had the same. VJ23 was just weird, a 250 screamer with a starter motor? ick...*shudders*

Motors wanted for a little experiment......

    Evenin all,

Looking for a blown engine 100cc and up, preferably 6 speed for the gearbox and clutch.
Also need a water cooled 50cc top end and crank, two of, to make a V twin 100.
I was made the suggestion of Aprilia RS50, which it looks are the same as the TZR50 and a few others, But getting two top ends, cranks and ignitions may be problematic. Still if anyone wants to take part in this mini RGV project, let me know.

    Cheers

First model TZR with square barrel is a Yamaha engine. The later full cast reed one is a motominarelli as used in Aprilia and a billion other euro 50s.

VJ23 aren't weird, they're cool. Haven't worked on one since, ohh 6 o`clock. (Sorting brakes). They have bridged T port as well as aux ex ports. Its light and goes great once derestricted. 60 rear wheel hp on conservative dyno.

Also had a good play on an mc21 today. Neat little bike. Needs rearsets to get you into the right position.

    RG150 Carb

RG150 wont run without choke full out. Once choke closed will run for about 10 sec before running out of fuel.
Have had carb ultra sonic cleaned at shop, still does the same thing. I have a video if it will be helpful.
    Any ideas?
Or I am keen to buy a replacement if anyone has a RG carb or RGV250 carb. Minuni tm 28 ss

Sounds to me like the float valve is not either getting fuel or passing fuel into the float bowl.

Does the RG150 have a vacuum fuel tap?
