Please do post that. My partner in crime has ideas of building a bucket chair wi th full bodywork.
Not sure where that puts us in the precious stakes where Drew's sig is concerned though.

Yeah i probably did deserve that. but no mater what he did he sure could rock that mustache
I do warn you Drew it was written well before the black death was probably invented.

there was lots more but they have died it would seem but there is plenty of stuff on the net plus remember tire remouders/Retreaders have Autoclaves and making tires is thirsty work......
Buried on the net is how to make vacuum bags for the diy option if they are not in my current links.
I was going to do a spar frame with CF based around a Surf board core as it is easy to work plus free....
if you do do that make sure any inserts are anodized as electrolysis is an issue with CF.
Plus remember CF is an electrical conductor so if you have flash electronic it can talk through the frame.
I think actually one of the few patent's John Britten ever applied for was for his novel "Cats Cradle" method of working with carbon string but the string is far beyond my capabilities.but from memory he only ever used one roll of thread to build 3 bikes or something so it is relatively inexpensive esp as i think he blagged it. He was a smooth bugger able to talk people into doing stuff for him or giving him stuff.
The guy who wrote the article (before i was born no less) Was John Robinson the bearded tech editor sometime author from Performance Bikes.
AS always with my attachments click on them a couple of times to get them suopersizes until you see the - button

The Nuplex crowd have some good info on fibreglassing and can sell you all the stuff you need. http://www.nuplexcomposites.com/nz/?q=node/2
A little slow (late as the thread has moved on); but...
I built a couple of seats years ago using a similar method. I made a plug with surf board foam and coated with with 5 coats of thick old waterbased gloss paint then fibre glassed over it. once dry, a couple of taps with a rubber hammer and she all pop'ed apart (it did leave the outer paint layer later stuck to the glass, but who cares). the finish was close; a quick sand and some spray puttythe trick is to not over use the resin on small jobs like this; coat the glass then roll (or squeeze out) the resin, then apply to the plug.
Building a tank is a different story; I tried and failed, just not strong enough for buckets (and the eventual stuff up). I came to the conclusion that a tank cover and an internal tank (alloy or pitbike tank) was the safest way.
If you are working on a complex shape (i.e. engine and building a total enclosed Air Box); then layers of duck tape over everything covered with Glad wrap (the thick sh1t not the cheap kitchen stuff) will hold up just... (enough to get a thin mold to build on later)..
Does anyone have lying around, an old set of 30mm forks with mounts for a disc caliper?
Pumba has a set of RGV150 forks in my shed. They are a bit of a kit set with the spacers and springs in a separate box and the seal in upside down. Clamps and clip ons there but not sure about caliper mount.
You could ask him.

I need a motor.I'll consider anything, who has what?
After a couple of FXR exhaust valves, mine seem to have bits of piston stuck in them.
