Hi Sam, is this for a roadbike? I could dig around my spares but I think I had a cull some time back.

As you've found out the tanks rust in the bottom corners where water settles esp on the sidestand side. you wan't find a good tank easily & best bet for a roadbike is to get a competent welder to cut that section out & weld.

For a racebike find a small inner tank & cut out the std one as a cover.

Obviously any of these options needs to be considered with safety practices in mind, there is a bunch of info of best ways to do it. Research properly.

Hey F5 Dave, things are often only needed once they are thrown away :P

yeah its for a road bike, please dont hate me....

i have a friend whos a competant welder so that should be a easy fix, but the tank on it atm is a 1 litre? bucket tank, if anyones after one?

the oil pump is the real necessity, the rest i can work out how to "make do"

I am trying to figure out if a cr125 flywheel will fit the taper on my Tf125 crank.

I currently have a rm80, which I understand F5 Dave uses on his H100, and speedpro uses cr on his h100... so unless either of them have re cut the taper then I think I should be ok. Does any one know more about this?
Kx80/100 is my other option which I know fits however I have to then get one from overseas.

The flywheel on the CR85 I used was a different taper to the one on my crank so I drilled the rivets out that hold the taper to the flywheel and removed the centre and screwed the correct centre to the correct flywheel, I tried to get the key to line up but didn't work

KX80 is the one you want but I think there's a few of us on the look out for them. What you really want is the early KX125 stator (1990 or there abouts) with a lighting coil so you can run the ignitech. The stator plate is the same between the 80 and 125, the rotor is the same size but the taper and key placement is different. I think you'll find the MB's have a larger crank taper as I know the KX125 rotor fits straight on while its to big for the Suzu and Kwaka.
There's probably a later model 6 or 8 pole stator/rotor setup that will match up, let me know when you find it.

I had to recut taper to use the RM one on the MB100. So Honda on Suzuki will be a bust I suspect. But I can't remember the TF taper, its been too long.

a 1min search found a pump which I'm pretty sure is RG50, actually I think I have a kickstarter too now I think of it. I'm in the hutt so you could grab it one night.

I had a road one for many years. Rode it to the Cold Kiwi six times so I know they are cool on the road.

ok will send PM. I'd ignore the compression test, they are pretty useless on a 2 stroke esp a small one.

If the pipe is clean & airfilter good then you should reach 115 indicated on the std clocks (about 105).

    Hi,

Looking for a long 15mm axle.

Needs to be 320mm from inside the flange to the end.
See pic. Wanting to fit 17" wheel to RGV250 based bucket.
Have a set of FZR wheels but can't change bearings to suit 20mm axle.

Can I assume you're going to have to bush the forks to suit the 15mm axle ?

If so, why not make up a long sleeve nut to accomodate the extra length.

I've heard there are a couple of lathes over there......

Yeah it's for the rear though unfortunatly, the Yamaha have a poxy 35mm od bearing. The swingarm is superwide, The sleevenut would be great for the front where it can be pinched up, but i couldn't think of how to secure it on the rear. Weird thing is the Suzuki seemed to have no security pin/clip at all on the std setup. It surprised me. didn't want to make an axle because shit it's a bucket, but i understand there is the odd Lathe about.(mostly idle since pike and solid energy issues and now gold is dropping too)

Well, I've never seen a 15mm axle that long - and i've been raiding wreckers bins for years.
    I'd suggest a piece of 15mm HT threaded 14 X 1.5 both ends...

Years back now we turned up a long 20mm axle from a broken HQ halfshaft...HQ steel is tough shit

Yeah weird aye normally it is just a simple bearing swap or axle swap. I think some Honda's had swingarm pivots that will work.
I found a few axles on the web but def not shipping stuff from the UK.
