Because the originals are something like a 19mm AF head with an 8mm thread....

Of course, if you can source 3/4in AF HT hex bar, it's a doddle.

Looking at getting into bucket racing. Where can I get nylon to put on the end of handlebars and metal surfaces that may contact the track and how do you guys go about attaching them to the bike?

Bread boards are good for many bits or Auckland bearings sell the rod in various sizes
