99/03 is the likely first choice, I have to do a bit more working out to be sure though.
It's a wee bit longer but the spring rate is close to what I think will be best.
The extra length may actually work out about right with the required geometery.

A limited amount of miss-fit can be compensated for in the linkage plates and/or dogbone.

    Second possibility is 04/05.

06/07 is no good for what I want.

Yeah, I know. It already has a secret Yamaha part.

I'm not sure of the correct terms for the different linkages are but most modern sports bikes use the 2 dogbones type (Like RGV250) whereas my NSR uses the 2 triangle plates type.

I'm limited on choice for shocks with an eye at each end rather than a fork at the bottom.

Yeah, I know I can adapt things or make a linkage bit it seems much easier to make new plates/and or dogbone for a shock with the correct bottom coupling.

It's interesting to see the newer (11/12) GSXRs reverting to the triangle plate style.

If it's for a bucket the four bolt keyless after market ones work well.
If not some other Suzuki may fit but others won't so try before you buy if you can GSXR400 doesn't work to start the process of elinimination.
For the throttle grip I assume you mean the tube, some aftermarket dirt bike ones will fit with a bit of modification, as a bonus you'll get a quicker action throttle.

I have a request from a guy from overseas for some Honda RS125 89-90 parts

Stock carb manifold and maybe a carb as well as mine is not in great condition.
Complete clocks (temp sensor and tacho).
    Clutch & throttle cables
    Carb shield.

Can anyone help with these he has a number of useful parts that he may be able to trade including
All of them are for '89 and '90 nf4 models :
    Frame
    Swingarm with rear wheel axle
complete front end (yokes, clipons, master cylinder, axle etc.)
    Front and rear aluminum wheels
    Front and Rear brake calipers
    Front and rear disk brakes

Don't get too excited though as the freight may be a killer for the larger bits.
Bert has first option on the rear caliper and mount.
Kel has first option on the forks and yokes.

For sure but i haven't asked but i assume rather than destroying a Factory RS125 to make a bucket he is doing a 100% restro because they are a little rare if you haven't noticed.

500 per year by Honda standards is rocking horse poo. NZ actually got heaps considering our population of 90's ones only because they were brought in Second hand EX Japan when they became obsolete.

Hmm, I have the clocks on my bike currently, but not sure if I'll keep them, I probably can get them running with the ignitech I plan on one day. Temp gauge is a replacement & I had an HRC one somewhere but it needed work.

Im after some clip ons for an rg50, 27mm. Im pretty sure its a matter of adapting bigger units, but does anyone know how?

edit- got some good advice from Bert, to shim some aluminium, pvc or polythene and fit bigger clip ons. Thanks!

I have been hunting around my shed and found a few bits. Nothing much useful at this point unless I sleeve down a slabby gsxr750 to 145cc's. Found a kdx carb and throttle, oh some rear gsxr pegs that might work on the RG. (they are aluminium is that okay or will they need caps or protectors?) I do have a complete gsxr front end but it just wont suit the RG......

    Another option.

Might take a little longer to get here though.

Apparently the clamps break easier than some other brands. But for US$14 you could get a few sets.

Steve Booth broke a set at Te Puke without ever having crashed on that side of the bike, went to move the front of the bike across and gone. If you get one set I'd be looking at getting three, every broken one I have seen has been the left hand side.
