    Any suggestions welcomed!
    Go to the Nationals round at Hampton and Taupo with cash in your pocket and talk nicely to the 125 racers. They often have sets for sale if you are quick enough.

    Thanks George for the clutch pack. 50 should be able to do starts without bogging now.

    I am after a 'flange adaptor' to mount a carburettor. It is for a mikuni VM24 carb so needs an ID of 31mm and bolt hole spacing of approx 47.5mm centre to centre. It looks a little something like this;

    I have trawled through ebay and have the local bike shop hunting for me but haven't yet found anything, any help would be much appreciated.

    GSX250 or gsxr250 should be around the correct size.

    Yea cheers, I have purchased one of these, cheap chinese crap. The holes on each side are actually above the centre line, meaning if I mount it there is a step in the inlet track. Size isn't too bad, its made for a 28mm carb so is a little bigger than ideal but still.... kinda... fits.. ish. Need to have another look and see how boogie I can maybe get away with, don't think there's much metal for me to try moving the mount holes towards 'centre'.

    Odd ball bearing sizes

    Just a short post reccomending Pyramid Bearings (pyramidbearings.co.nz) for spending lots of time for little money and finding a taper roller bearing I needed for a front end swap. None of the major bearing suppliers could help and these guys have delivered, I'm extremely gratefull!
    I suspect the bearings are not of top quality material but for a steering head and a reasonable price I don't mind changing them more often than I might otherwise.

    yes I also had to use them for my TZR (1kt) headset bearings. They where super easy to deal with and ive used them for other bearing now too.

    Yeah do look easy, I almost blew one when the brake pads were described as Nissin, man that's cheap for Nissin pads. oh. . .to fit Nissin callipers. not the same thing.

    But there is some cheap bearings there.

    Cables look good, but aren't any there long enough for more than a clowns bike. unless they don't know what a Millimetre is.

    These guys? http://www.pyramidparts.co.nz/pages/...-fitment-guide

    In my experience there's no such thing as a really poor quality ball/roller bearing, the cost of the capital plant sort of precludes the worst of the cowboys from the industry. Certainly minor differences in quality, though to be sure, but I think they're far from pushing the design limits of taper roller bearings typically used for steering heads. The most common failure mode I've seen is water/dirt contamination.

    Shows what you know, my most common failure mode involves gravity and incompetence!

    You're correct (as usual) and they are not bearings I would use in an engine or transmission but they are only selling head and wheel bearings so they are good buying for what they are.
