Winston you've given me the shake up, have to plan an Invercargill run soon I have no excuses now for not doing the return run to catch up with all my drinking mates there from times gone by.

Good to meet you too Sarah albeit across the camp fire. And how did you get that lovely hat wet??!! You should organise a trip south, you'd enjoy it. To be fair, summer is a kinder time for motorcycling south of Timaru. :P


And thanks everyone for your kind comments. It's appreciated. People here think its a bit crazy to do something moderately dangerous and in extreme weather. I can't really explain it to them so maybe that's the attraction of KB - people who do understand.

Yup, well after this year I am a definate for next years shindig....and its not too far from welly so is all good....could be a good group going up next year...

...Although I wonder if them manawatu croud are sick of the Redneck yet?

I have missed going to the Cool Duck since arriving in the Mainland.

Extend.....sounds like a top idea, that hilltop where the Ham folk where was abit windy ask Kev, Shafty & gingins lucky they still with us we just need to 'know someone' who can put the entire hollow going back to the marquee (not getting carried away here) as reserved for CD/KBers that would do it

Dunno about Kev but I didn't find it blowie - quite sheltered with trees beyond the fence. Mind you we had 2 ST1300's and an FJR as a wind break too..............
