Yep, plan is to be there, prob a few others will tag along. The idea is to ride on the other side of the river from SH2. But all depends on weather.

Have you got a Gps co ord for it? this is my 1st timeLooks like I'll be meeting mate at Takapau hotel once he drops truck off and going from there saturday morning around 10 or so ... One night sounds like it'll be enough with the weather changing hehe...looking forward to the ride in and out of the site on the CBR, could be getting dirty lol
Anyone know where I can find the "programme"? I did see an add for the Cold Duck where the sponsors were advertised etc. It also had a programme with the times for each event. Now I can't find it!
Any idea where I can find that again. Have looked through the available web pages but nothing apart from where it is and general blurb.
As you were. I found it>

I am still planning on going down to the rally. I expect to be there early afternoon on Friday. I am not happy with the forecast, but I don't think they are that accurate on tomorrows weather, let alone several days away.
Last year I almost didn't go down to the Magpie Madness Rally due to the forecast heavy rain and gale force winds. I decided to go anyway and the weather was fine, completely dry in fact. The wind picked up a little on Saturday morning, then it became calm again. I was almost home on the Monday before I encountered any rain. I would have been pissed off if I hadn't gone and had missed my first motorcycle rally/trip to the South Island/ferry crossing.
A little rain shouldn't be too big a deal anyway - though I don't think I will camp on the lowest part of the camp grounds. High ground sounds like a good idea.
