    Just what the Doctor ordered

Went over to Bills (sinfull) for a "get pissed" session on sat arvo and much to my suprise found out that plans were afoot...The plan was to get pissed at the cold duck instead of sittin on our lonely arses at home. So texted the wife, said we were goin then came back home grabbed a bit of warm stuff for the night...soon after Bill and Heidi turn up in their van and off we go...

Got absolutely pissed up at the cold duck....dammned good company and some real good fires...one issue I had was that little pyromaniac leprechaun wanting to throw all the pallets on, cos man it got hot at times round the fire...
Gota few hours sleep then packed up to go back home...just as well we were in the van cos it pissed down on the otherside of the gorge...musta been some sorry arses on some of the bikes, but hey, thats what ya do eh....

Great Rally....I will be back again...

It was a goody alright. Tummy was playing up but enjoyed the Saturday all the same. Did the mothers day thing and popped in to see the folks. Caught up with a bro. Then off down a few wee back roads home then a soak in a nice hot bath when I got home. Got real bitter from Dannivirke home with some heavy rain so the tent etc are hanging up to dry.

On the way to the rally I bumped into Cowboyz and NZSarge planning a secret ride and not a 100 yards down the road bumped into Tony, a chap I use to ride with in the 80s/90s, on his 1200 lead sled. Followed him on some ramdon routes to Wiapawa using his GPS. When I say ramdom I mean it. Should have convinced him to tag along behind Gerble.

Speaking of Gerbles did the other Gerble get his hat back?

    Cold Duck 09

Had two showers on the way to the duck - first one was 30 mins & second was 2-1/2 hrs!
Set up & dried out on arrival, caught up with Shafty, Chancey, Lil Smurf, Frenchy and a few others before sinking a few around the fire. Met a shitload of other KBers and told a few lies before catching ZZZZzzzzz'ssss about 3am.

Got up to still clear skies saturday and a Shafty late' and thaw out around the fire.

    I believe he did .. & 86 has a spoon for you

great weekend .. thanks to the Little Smurf & Busted for allowing me to tag along on friday .. great ride up when we hit the dry roads and to set up my tent which seemed to quickly become the KB/Central Districts gully

Awesome set up we had the pellets sure made excellent seats until they needed to be burnt

could not believe how many ppl turned up on the friday to make the most of the two days .. Hence the friday nite sure rocked, great to catch up with others I had met from the waikato rally .. although dancing on tables was not a part of the plan .. but Hamish had other ideas .. and then there is no way out

great ride home today .. got to Dannevirke before the showers hit & stopped to met 86 so perfect time to get the wet weathers on,

bike is washed & ready for Rex's memorial ride on the 23rd, washing done .. and now its time for bed .. Lack of sleep sure catches up with ya

Went for a ride into Waipawa for a few supplies before lunch then watched the returning bikes from the poker run. Games were a hoot with a few paint ball bruises on the undie challenge contestants.
The KB fire was the place to be as the music was not drowning out the dribble.

lol now Gingins lil seat made for quite a bit of entertainment yesterday ..

burn outs provided quite a bit of entertainment .. dunno that it was worth blowing a tire out for though

Nice to see the flock out having a good time.
Many faces fitted to KB names which was grB, not sure about all those photos though
A bunch of Wellington and Hawkes Bay riders told about the site and keen to catch up for rides which was cool too. My first poker run and I didn't get lost!!

Great Rally....I will be back again..
Glad you achieved your intention,it was a roaring time in many ways and I was pleased to see this morning that nobody had burns from fire and none of the bangs in the night were our bikes exploding :

Piked and did get a couple of hours sleep last night and what a morning to ride home luckily Bustard was taking it 'easy' or I wouldn't have seen much of him and Smurf . Great to ride up and back with them, nice to have good lines to follow (and a radar detector, although Chanceyy's inbuilt one saved me on the way there )

Yep did hit a shower around Dannevirke but avoided the worst of it having the obilgatory Cuba post excursion mocha and catch up.

Nice to meet you and know that next year the warm up for the big party will make another memorable rally. Know all will go good for you from now

Great time mate, sori I didn't realise you were feeling poorly
I am sure that holding your long pole by the fire most of last night made you feel better

Soak in the bath and a hot fire are the perfect way to end a great weekend. Not sure how it has taken me 2 years to try one of these but the ruhapeu lot have convinced me to book for the kiwi already

Thanks to all for making it a memorable few days and to the weather girls and guys for getting it wrong

Lucky him, surprised that he could see anything past his drink his eyes looked pretty unfocused when I saw him last night, I was most impressed by his early rising today Would have been even better if I coulod have convinced him to go and get my cuppa tea

Cowboyz and I cruised past the site after lunch at the Patangata pub on the way to a mint ride out through some back roads, all I could see was bloody cars! What's up with that?
