Yeah thats right, the ball that mccullum got was a no ball.
But a full toss is anything that gets to the batsman on the full (or thats how i see it), depending on how high it is it can be called a beemer.

I'm a part time softball pitcher - every now and then I bean a batter. Mostly it's because of a bad pitch. Sometimes I'll throw an inside rise ball to move him away from the plate (if he don't he gets it on the head) But when you deliberately want to bean a batter you go for his middle. He can move his head and legs quickly enough to get out the way but your middle don't move so good. I imagine cricket is pretty much the same. Softball umpires are known to eject pitchers for beaning batters - you can have a sub though.

Generally it is a legal ball, as when it gets to the batsman it will be about knee height depending on it's speed. A beamball is more to do with direction than length.
