    Smile G'day

Thought it was about time I introduced myself instead of just prowling around like "Nigel - no - mates". I started riding so long ago I got my license on a BSA Bantam ( granted it was old then ). I had a procession of bikes as a teenager ( all Hondas ) and managed to ride them into various stationary objects like a parked Jaguar and a bus stopped at a bus stop but eventually discovered the delights of women folk, mortgages ,children and a company car so it has been a bloody long time since I've had a bike i can call my own. Finally aged enough I can start again and have bought a slightly ratty GB400 which i hope to tidy up as time and finances allow ( Anyone got a spare GB500 motor they don't need ?). Middle age crisis my arse - I'm too old for that

Gidday, Mr OldePhart - ooops! (sorry!) Phantom.

    Welcome to Kiwi Biker.:spudwave:
SpankMe has a GB500, but I wouldn't steal the engine out of that, now that you've gone public with your query...
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Welcome to KB, I bet you're wondering why you gave bikes up for so long eh? It's an addiction. I've never been able to give it up for more than 1 year!

Welcome home. This time around, get all the gear too, since you are no longer bulletproof
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Red face not bloody likely

There's no way I would want to upset the esteemed SPANKME, mainly because of all the fantastic work he does on this website - Ive been in the IT industry since Adam was a cowboy and I know how much work is involved - bugger that for a job, but also because he looks so bloody scary.
Yeah I am loving being back on 2 again , unfortunately missing Manfield this weekend, but its hard finding time what with working for "the man" and helping with my partners business - got to ease her into this sneaking off for a few hours on the bike business. Speaking of Manfield reminds me of about 5 years ago being invited out to Manfield ( don't ask me why ) courtesy of Honda to spend the day riding all their new bikes from 250's to what was then I think the brand new Blackbird. There were about 30 of us ( any KBers ? ) to share about 20 bikes. Ferking marvellous but cured me , so far , of my belief that bigger was better ( bikes anyway ). Thought I was doing quite well by the end of the day until a Goldwing, 2 up, complete with twin aerials passed me at the end of the main straight . I don't think the idea was to go out and buy a 15 year old bike but at least it was a Honda Hope to meet some of you in the not too distant future, mind you some of you seem to take this life business pretty seriously
