there are some that don't drink, so even a morning trackday for people like me would be appreciated...
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

Count me in barring something major coming up.

I know it's not as central but have you considered Hampton Downs if it'll be open?

I'm happy to pay $150 for the day if I save the gas money of going to Taupo

my reasoning is that Taupo is right in the middle so most everybody has a ways to come

Good cabins etc here and close to the track...
Only problem might be a noise curfew and so on.
Tents on the SW side of the track might be a better option for night-time revelry
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

excellent idea! I'd be keen depending on other commitments, yada yada yada...

How much is it total to rent the track? then we can work out how many registrations we need to make it $100/rider

Would they allow a function (see piss up) at the track or do most here want somewhere with accomadation ?
Was thinking if it was a camp rally ! The old Pits has a toilet block, the car club building (aint seen inside it but looks largish) And the shaded grass area is plenty big enough to camp half of kiwibiker !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

What about talking to the QKs and see if i would fit in with the Turangi Queens Birthday Long Weekend?

    Ride to Turangi on Saturday
    Track Day Sunday
    Ride home on Monday.

Accomdation is good at Turangi (basic but good) and cheap. Only down side may be that it is the end of May and might be a bit cold?

.... back in green and feeling great ....
