Do you find the 450 just too big to throw around? you could get your suspension redone to suit your riding style.

yeah the susp is too hard, the power is too great and the gearing is totally wrong. It's has a mass of torque right off idle and i find i'm always trying to straighten it out or get the front wheel down. It basically entirely fucks you within 15 minutes lol

Good point re the racing crisis. I'm a novice this year so can enter on any bike i like

Cheers for your comments. I may be swayed slightly towards the 200. The other point i notice in those articles reck is that they mention the old model (07) saying that it's twitchy at speed.

seam most people who buy a KTM soon end up buying a steering dampner

couple a 300s same price but the 07 will have a few xtras being a 6day
have you thought about a 250 4s enduro. Mate of mine had a yzf250 with all the bells and whistle fitted traded it on a wr250 rides heaps bettter and faster finished yamaha top rider in 5th overall missing one round.

i dont seem to have any problems in the tight stuff on my 300, im 6ft and 95kgs, the low down torque is awesome, but i think it could do with a steering damper.

Cheers, i'll have a look at those when i get home from work (trade me blocked) The 4t 250s just don't have the fun grunt that i like when hooning with mates. But i hear what you're saying. i'd definately be faster on 1 for enduro. I've riiden an 07 WR250 and it was so easy, plush as fuck but definately a bit tame. On saying that the 08 yzf450 is plush as fuck too and not tame by any means. Yamaha and KYB seem to have it sussed

Thats because you are old and a spent force. Get a quad, maybe one with a gay flag on the back.

Mind you, ktm's are aimed at senior riders, get one cause they are brilliant, then spend a fortune on dampers and suspension cause they're shithouse.

Mate, With your size height wise you need a 300. I've had a few drags with 450's on gravel roads and apart from the start(only a metre in it for the first 50) I just blow past them. Over 140 kclicks to their 120.

I've had the 200 and they are awesum. Buy not to good for bigger riders.

'scuse the ignorance, guys, but which of the KTM thumpers are road registerable in enzed? I really like the KTMs and will eventually be looking at something bigger than my current mount. Did they produce 400's?

    the excs are road registerable.
    125, 200, 250, 300 exc (2 stroke)
    250, 400, 450, 505 excf (4stroke)

I'd suggest you avoid them all and follow rupecopp's earlier instruction to me

yeah i know mate i really want one but they seem to be harder to find and more expensive. Have you ridden a 250? would you take and 05 300 over an 07 250?
