NB: Important message for Crusty's Nelson show

    Demons reschedule show to tomorrow

    Nelson | Thursday, 26 February 2009

The Crusty Demons Nelson show has been rescheduled to Friday night because of forecast bad weather on Saturday night.

The show has sold 7000 tickets. Crusty Demons promoter Mike Porra said such a change was a first for the group and it was a "massive task".

"Strong wind and heavy rain are forecast from Saturday, which are impossible conditions for our riders to perform in, but our operations department has swung into action to ensure the Nelson show goes ahead.

"Perfect weather conditions are expected on Friday so promoters have made the decision to move the show a night forward to ensure all of the Crusty Demons fans in and around the Nelson area can witness the final stop of their huge Unleash Hell New Zealand Tour."

The show will feature the most dangerous trick in the extreme sport, the double back flip, as well the best riders in the world performing freestyle motocross tricks.

The show will be held at Trafalgar Park Friday night, with gates opening at 5pm.

Tickets are still available at www.crusty.com and will be available at the gate.

All tickets bought for the Saturday show will be valid on Friday night and ticket holders who cannot attend on Friday will receive a full refund.

Friday night is expected to be clear with a high of 19 degrees.

Moderate to heavy rain is forecast to fall in Nelson on Saturday night, with gusty easterly winds.

    "massive task"
Yeah, 'cause they usually just cancel if it's too dodgy.

For a while they were pushing this event as the one in which the "1st double backflip in NZ" was going to be performed.
But they'd already done one at one of their previous shows up north.
