For a select few, there is room at my inn if the weather turns bad, lol,
Now there's an idea for next year

Off The Rails Rally this weekend.

I've been enjoying being back on the "cane" so I'll be bringing it to Middlemarch.
The body suffers a little bit more, I can't bring as much gear (read L K Hole) & I have to constantly talk to myself "brake on the left, gears on the right" but it's all good.

Yes it is on this weekend - the location is a secret though so don't follow all the bikes there, ask any of the ten locals, or follow any signs to Cottesbrook or anythng indicating a rally might be on

Everytime I go to write on this I am tired, went and delivered some gear to Franz Joseph today in beautiful sunshine, what a fantastic ride and how unusal to drive/ride the west cost in the sunshine, I reckon it is the most beautiful place when the sun does shine on it, went and had a skip on Jacksons Bay beach, and watched some graceful dolpings popping up and down on the breakers near to the shore, that was a magical moment, if it wasn't so cold, and I wasn't in a hurry, would have got my kit off and gone and had a swim with them. I have been shaking since I got back..........concerntrating and trying to stay awake I guess.............

See you all late afternoon at Middlemarch, Love this Rally it rocks, beats the crap out of working anyway, and almost makes working to afford to do these things worth it.....almost........Bring your rock shoes and lets boogy on down in them there sheep sheds......baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Nit all x

    Riding up times ??

Not many posts about travel plans??

We are planning on leaving here after an early lunch (away by 1), fuel up at Shell Milton then head on up via the Maungatua backroad behind the airport, probably missing Outram and heading up the hill.

Prob stop for a coffee at the Kissing Gate at Middlemarch, then depending on time etc we might do a jaunt up to Hyde, over and back over the Hyde Hill (just because it is there - and because I rate it as the best bit of motorcycle road in Otago), coffee at Hyde on the way back then on to the rally site.

Any particular place designated as KB HQ??

I will have my son following behind on his first decent road ride, and first rally, so won't be pushing things too hard if anyone wants to join us for a gentle ride. Princess Fiona has generously lent him her bike and will be keeping an eye on it from the co-pilot chair!!

Of course thats the best laid plans - we all know what sometimes happens!!

See you all tomorrow - but if anyone reads this in the morning and their plans roughly coincide ,let me know and we'll keep a look out for you.
    Cheers
    RM
