100 days later - Way to go John!

    http://feeds.beehive.govt.nz/sites/a...Completion.pdf

All 27 promises delivered on time!

If Labour were in they would have spent the whole 100 days explaining why Winston Peters wasnt a crook and that he would make a excellent Deputy PM.

Way to go John - Keep it up. 100 days and you have done more good than Labour did in a very long time !

It's nice to see some result finally...and with common sense actually part of the decision making.

Think as you will, but I'm bloody glad I voted for the guy.

And he's currently polling as the most popular and preferred PM of all time.

Ignore SkyRyder, he's just having a bad month.

Yeah. It's sort of like you don't really have to worry about what they're doing in there now because there is an air of common sense about the place. They are doing stuff that needs to be done like making it easier for small businesses to run ... not worrying about the size of our shower heads.

I also believe that there is a refreshing lack of personal attack in the politics now ... and to be fair it seems that all parties are playing that game. For the first time in a long time I have confidence in the people who are running our country.

They're not spectacular but they are pragmatic.

And about bloody time too. It's pretty hard to take the government serious when paliarment appears to be Jerry Springer for well-off people in suits.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Hopefully it'll be a bad 3 years - 6 years - whatever for SkyRyder. If the country being run the way it is makes him grumpy, then for all of our sakes, I hope he's absolutely miserable going forward ... (no disrespect intended to the guy)

And reading the NBR this morning:

"New Zealanders are very positive at the moment. Not only are the polls shining for the new Government, but the recession has yet to dampen overall confidence in the country’s direction.

Roy Morgan measure fortnightly whether people think New Zealand is moving in the right or the wrong direction. For most of 2008, 35% to 45% said the wrong direction.

Since the election, only 20% of New Zealanders are saying the country is heading in the wrong direction – despite the recession. Around 65% say it is in the right direction, giving a massive net 45% positive.

Still - Im sure that banning showerheads, banning lightbulbs, stopping spending on roading, and tax increases etc would have put Labour in the positives as well :tui:

What I'm most happy about is that some of this popularity is directly attributable to the fact that Liarbour's election campaign was simply to attack JK and bang the "hidden agenda" meme.

Guess what, he's a good bloke and there's no hidden agenda, so all the worry and fear that was created in people that were prepared to risk a blue vote just to get shot of Clark has become relief and happiness as election promises were upheld...

I have two more words for you:

    Phil who?

I think I've figured this out. I believe he's a member of KB and goes by the name of... SkyRyder.

I'm waiting a few years before making any judgements on how successful the new government is.
It is still the honeymoon period and everybody is floating around in the afterglow of election night poontang.

Okay, fair enough. So at what point did you realise that electing Labour was bad judgment?

Is it just me of does "Phil Goff" sound remarkably like "fark cough"... and what should we make of that? Every time he has a go at National he comes across like a 4 year old...

Well done to John Keys and his Party so far. Now lets see some positive action being taken on the law and order issues that are haunting the country these days.
We have voted past MPs into government based on what they were going to do to address this problem but unfortunately it has been to no avail.
Maybe this time we can have some results.

What I like about the whole National Party, and JK in particular, is that he is ambitious for the whole country. He seems to believe in NZ's ability to grit our collective teeth and pick ourselves up by the bootstraps and come through this recession in a strong position.

I don't agree with everything they say, but on the whole, it's great. "This is what we campaigned on, this is what we have done"

I do think the tax cuts should be delayed (fuck, did I just say that??), but ironically, if they halt the tax cuts, Skyryder will be screaming about how we all got sucked in by the liars. Whereas, if they carry on, the lefties are screaming that they are unaffordable.

Personally, had I $50 million, I'd be looooooong goooooooone. Which I guess proves he's a better person than I.
