    WSB and MotoGP on Sky

Its that time again, Sky has WSB fom Phillip Island live this coming Sunday 1st March starting at 1.35 in the afternoon so you can settle down with a few bevys for a few hours. MotoGP is also going to be on starting April 12th at Losail. As usual presumably some will probably be live and some delayed. Personally apart from wanting Rossi to win the MotoGP I'm more interested in the Superbikes this year with Aprilia and BMW racing, they wont win it but just that bit more variety in the field makes it better I reckon. Just wish something was able to make it more than the Ducati benefit series.

I actually think that BMW and Aprilia have a shot at winning at least one or two races a piece.

The new R1 is going to be really interesting to see (and hear) in race trim.

Dont forget that BMW and Aprilia both have two VERY experienced racers riding for them so given a bit of time and some full on race experience with their machines im sure we'll see good things coming from them. They're both certainly more impressive than KTM's RC8 effort last year.

Perhaps a podium finish. Maiden season and all. Hope they are competitive at least.

Yeah WSBK should be huge this year, don't forget no Bayliss this year, so all up for grabs. Not too sure we'll see a Ducati cup this year, if we do, it may well be Shane Byrne on the Sterigada bike. Him, Ben Spies, and Johnny Rae, I rate as the favourites, with Troy Corser to win a Superpole inside the first 3 rounds!
Haga on the Duc could be a dark horse, but hasnt exactly set the world on fire during testing.

yea i cant wait for it. yea shakey bryne on the sterilgada and spies on the yamaha im backing. neukirchner could be a factor. And dont discount Haga. Hes a racer. hes just cruising till race time. cant even get moving for superpole. but there'll be allota racce winners. bring it on.

The KTM raced in superstock. They said it was a test year before they move up to superbike but that isn't happening this year. Maybe their poor results last year put them off!

It has been reported that they are competing in German Superbikes this year.

With a number of DNF's and generally bad placing it didn't exactly go off the way that KTM had lead me to believe with their media hype. On the other hand, BMW and Aprilia have been somewhat low key with their build up and have proven to be far more interesting to watch develop.

The RC8 is still a very horny looking piece of kit though

Now I dont know , but from where I sit and the company I keep , Honda may be a one to watch ...

They reduced their budget in Motogp , and while they are still active in motosport ,( it shifts bikes ) ...funding and more factory support may be heading towards Hanspree...

I have asked , but i hit a stone wall with the factory

German dude looks quick. Obviously tyres a bit dodgy. Race 2 should be a cracker.

R1 won race # 2, good straight line speed, mind you so was the Suzi in race 1. Nori's gonna be the guy to beat. He's learned to bring it home for 2nd instead of going for the win and crashing.
