Newbie Easter Ride - All welcome

With the long weekend coming up I thought it would be nice a great time to go for a cruise and also get to meet some of the other new riders. This is intended to be a slow to medium pace ride. Of course the big boys are welcome to come a long as well.

Personally I was thinking about making a trip down SH22 since I've heard from a few of the other guys that its a good ride but am open to suggestions. Maybe up Old North Road and loop back through the Shore? Or a ride to Thames (maybe not that far) along the coastal route through Maraetai, Whitford, Kaiau etc.

I'm going to Pukekohe for the track day on Saturday but I can go any of the other days. I was thinking bout doing it on Sunday or Friday but if all the shops are closed then this could be a hassle ie. No food, maybe no gas etc.

So don't be shy and lets see a show of hands of people that are interested.

(Please someone put their hands up...its me first attempt at organizing a ride.)

I would like to do the Old North and over to the shore loop, sounds good.
Sunday is good for me too, also there will be less traffic [ hopefully] as it is right in the middle of the long w/end

I'm 100/120 km/h licence saving mode at the moment, but still keen for a cruise.
    Time/Meeting place ?

    licence saving is good.

Sounds like its Sunday then. Old North Road isn't a busy road anyway so we should be fine. Its the long weekend I think i'll probably be too lazy to try to push hard.

Yea. would be nice to not be the last one in the pack for once. haha.

How bout meeting up at Westgate. I think there's a gas station there after you get off the off ramp. How does 10am sound? Morning rides are my thing. Don't like riding in the afternoon heat with all my gear.
