Hey there trust you had a good turn out and ride.
Some acquantances run one here and were spoken to by Police this year (stopped during the run in heavy traffic) wanting to know "wot's up".
Fair enough but previous years they had been contacted for assistance and failed to show any concern, so they were not contacted this year ( happened to be the 13th one). All riders were urged to obey the rode code prior to meeting again at the egg drop off point. There was provided fluro'd rider front and back as well as at all intersections allowing bikes to quickly and safely pass through with minimal disruption as done previous years All went safely, riders well behaved, the actions of a killjoy cop trying to stop it was questionable. Almost bet if it was a group of patched riders, there would have been no questions asked.
Just wondered how your group runs your Egg event, any ideas to to get us through next year other than running it in the middle of the night (joking) and to avoid the apparent hassle of organising it officially?
"I want to thank you lord, so far this day. With your help i haven't been impatient, lost my temper, been grumpy, judgemental, or envious of anyone. But i will be going out in a minute and i think i will really need your help to start my bike. Amen."
