    Bert's son's a lazy bastard...

Though wiser than me.The recent rain bought about some flooding of normally lame streams and whilst out n about locally walking the dog got back to the ute and above the roar of said stream heard a dog wailing "would some fucker help me" i went about investigating,Mac my Border collie (who seems to understand dog wailing) took me down a bank and stared directly across to the other side which to my good fortune was at the bottom of a bloody steep bank covered in bush, walked along the road a bit to come across a lady walking a lab who had heard the ruckus, only thing to do she reckoned was ring her husband who turned up in a 4wd which we followed for miles to the opposite side of raging stream,we all hiked a bit until we tracked down the noisy hound still at the bottom of bloody steep hill,in my enthusiasm away i went and after about 40 minutes of brambles/mud and fuck this is way steeper than i thought shit i located said hound,he crawled up the hill and was so knackered that in the end i had to throw the bastard over my shoulder and struggle back up the hill, after catching my breath i got talking to the bloke, yep Berts son...Lazy bugger.

Good on ya for helping out the poor dog. Sounds a fairly epic rescue. Bling.

Roughly mid 50s i would say, seemed a nice bloke.Turned out the dog was a pig dog that got lost,he was pretty knackered so may well have been there awhile.
