Two-stroke exhaust fabricator?

Hey guys just wondering if anybody out there noes of any one in NZ who can make a decent set of 2 Smoker pipes?

Im in the process of derestricting my TZR250, and one of the most restricting parts is the pipes so bye bye the need to go.
I can get some good quality pipes outa Japan and the U.K. But just seeing if theres anyone locally who can make a good quailty set?

They take a long time to make. Time is money. Just get them ready made or as a kitset.

Or I was going to go see Musket to see if they would make something up for my RGV, as they're just down the road from me.

Im not After the muffler like those Trademe ones after the whole exhaust system, to be made. Think ill probably just get some from Japan

What a bout Wobbly in Tauranga. What I have seen is nice - but not cheap.
TZR pipes woudl be like copulating snakes I imaging = $$$$ to make.
I think Nikon in the UK do some - depending on what model it is.

Any of the V-twin TZ pipes should just about bolt straight on,But you will need the collars that bolt on to the cylinder as well.The following people may be able too help,Karel Pavich,Gary Pendleton, or John Beck.If you have trouble contacting them,PM me and i will send you their numbers.Not keen too list other peeps numbers on the internet.Also be aware you will also need to Re jet the carbs to suit

There was a set of Sagaya (kit) pipes for an RGV on friday listed under exhausts

hmm yeah i definately wouldn't go using tz or rgv pipes on it. They need to match the bike (port-timings, ignition, etc) and ideally each bike should have specific pipes designed for its state of tune. If your do use pipes from other bikes worst case scenario is, a hole in your piston or seizure. I've got sugayas on my rgv and they are superb, but would pretty much be useless on your tzr (even if you could get them to fit without fouling). If you want pipes designed for your own bike, i would try to see if you could find some 'kit' pipe measurements (as manufacturer often knows best), and take these to a place like Harris Pipes (christchurch), and they can start out with these dimensions and match them to your bike. best of luck.

Thanks for the help mate but i decided in the end now to either go for the Jackal pipes out of Japan or the Bosson ones out of South Africa. Guys in England have seen good gains from both sets of these pipes

Mate, doing what billy said is a smart thing, especially as you MAY be able to pind the pipes for a better price than flash new fancy ones will cost.

na mate, I wasn't claiming to be an expert at all. Just trying to save him some problems which i think he would come across. Sorry if i ruffled your feathers a bit with that. I'm sure billy's a good guy and knows his stuff-I was just trying to present another side which i thought was fair. If you don't agree with something i said then point it out to me, i'm more than happy to share ideas and learn off you.

When deciding wether or not to follow different advice it helps to know where each bit is coming from.

I know Billy knows what he is talking about.

You make good points but personally I would be presenting them as an alternative option instead of a "don't do that, do this" kind of approach

Now I'm sure this fellow will be perfectly happy with his aftermarket pipes.
