    Using European-spec radios in NZ

EobE The Elder is probably coming to visit in April, and has a pair of bike intercoms. They run at 500mW PMR446MHz and LPD433MHz. Will they OK to use here? He's heard there's possibly some issue with the frequency or something...

The frequencies he has listed don't seem to be within the NZ CB range, ie, 476-477mhz.

    Beyond that... I don't have a clue

They don't care, and neither should you. Just use them - they are so low power as to be inconsequential.

Well, since they are a pair, they would work together fine, but probably won't communicate with nz radios...

If you notice any missiles heading in your general direction, just switch them off

Gremlin is a low ground hugging missile ... as for the radios, hopefully they won't be doing anything bad like activating garage doors, stopping pacemakers, getting TV channels changed ... oh wait, that sounds like fun!

Thanks for this guys, The Elder One is bringing them anyway, we'll just use them on the lower powerband and not go into any infant ICUs...
